Streams of data is a platform for data scientists to upload data and create visualizations.
Our vision
Streams of data was custom designed as a personalized project platform to help scientists spend more time designing and running experiments and less time wrangling their data. Our overall goal is to help turn complex data into actionable decisions by streamlining the process of merging multiple data sets together and serving them up in a way that's easy to navigate.
Why we do it
Streams of Data was born out of the frustration of Dr. Ryan Otter. After spending 20 years as a biologist and environmental toxicologist he realized that he was doing the same data cleansing and visualizations process for all of his projects. He wanted to create a solution for scientists that would save time, decrease human error, and allow scientists spend more time doing the science they loved.
How we do it
We work directly with clients to understand the different data structures they use and how they relate to one another. In other words - we figure out how to make different data sets talk to each other....and then we automate that process. Then we serve up the integrated data using easy to navigate data visualizations that include the key functionality of allowing a client to download the data they need to their local computers.
